For many patients, that may mean professionally fitted hearing aids and continued support. For others, additional medical evaluation may be necessary.
Cochlear Implants
Hearing aids aren’t always enough.
Cochlear implants can be an option for people with significant hearing loss who are no longer receiving adequate benefit from hearing aids. Ohio Ear provides evaluation, surgical care, education, and ongoing collaboration with audiology to help determine whether a cochlear implant is right for you.
Dizziness & Balance
If you’ve been struggling with dizziness or balance problems without getting a clear answer, you’re not alone.
There are many different types and causes of dizziness, and getting to the right diagnosis starts with asking the right questions.

Ear Conditions & Surgery
Some ear problems require a level of expertise beyond routine ENT care.
Ohio Ear provides specialized evaluation and surgical treatment for conditions involving the eardrum, hearing bones, chronic ear infections, ear canal, inner ear, hearing and balance nerves, and the connection between the ear and brain.

A More Focused Approach to Ear Care
Fellowship-Trained Expertise
Following ENT residency, Dr. Jimmy completed additional fellowship training focused specifically on ear surgery, including cochlear implantation, chronic ear disease, eardrum repair, skull-base surgery, tumors involving the hearing and balance nerve, and CSF leak repair.
That additional training provides a depth of experience dedicated specifically to the ear and its connection to hearing and balance.
Modern Surgical Techniques
Ohio Ear embraces advances in technology that can improve both surgical visualization and efficiency.
Dr. Jimmy utilizes endoscopic ear surgery when appropriate, using a small camera and endoscope to provide a detailed view of the surgical field. In many cases, this approach allows surgery to be performed through the ear canal without the larger external incisions historically associated with microscopic ear surgery.

Meet Dr. Jimmy
Dr. Jimmy’s decision to build Ohio Ear came from a simple belief: patients with hearing, balance, and complex ear conditions deserve a practice specifically designed around their needs.
After completing medical school at Ohio University and ENT residency training at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, he pursued additional fellowship training at Swedish Neuroscience Institute focused specifically on advanced ear and skull-base surgery.
Today, that specialized training is combined with a philosophy centered on modern medicine, continued education, patient communication, and treating people the way he would want himself or his family to be treated.

Do I Need a Referral?
You do not need a physician referral to schedule an appointment with Ohio Ear.
If you’re experiencing hearing loss, dizziness, balance problems, ringing in your ears, chronic ear problems, or have been told you may need ear surgery, you can contact our office directly to schedule an evaluation.
Patients can complete the onboarding process online or in person, depending on their preference.
