Hearing Loss Shouldn’t Mean Traveling Farther for Answers

Hearing loss is common, consequential, and treatable. But knowing what to do next can be difficult, especially when hearing aids are no longer providing enough benefit.

The Southeast Ohio Hearing Collaborative exists to make the next step clearer. Our goal is to improve awareness, strengthen access to local hearing healthcare, and connect patients with the right level of care at the right time.

One Region. A Full Continuum of Hearing Care.

Good hearing care is not a single appointment or device. The collaborative helps patients and families understand the full continuum of care.

The goal is simple: help people receive appropriate hearing care close to home and reduce unnecessary delays in treatment.

When Hearing Aids Aren’t Enough

Hearing aids are an important part of hearing care, but some people continue to struggle even with appropriately fitted devices. When hearing aids no longer provide adequate benefit, a cochlear implant evaluation may help determine whether another treatment option is appropriate.

Cochlear Implant Care Is Available Locally

Patients in the region can access cochlear implant evaluation and surgical care through Marietta Memorial Hospital. The regional cochlear implant surgical team includes Drew Phillips and Milena Fabry.

Keeping evaluation and treatment within the region can make the process easier for patients, families, and the community providers who continue to support their hearing care.

Built Around Collaboration, Not a Single Practice

The Southeast Ohio Hearing Collaborative is designed as a neutral, provider- and patient-focused regional resource. It brings together community audiologists, hearing-care providers, medical professionals, cochlear implant teams, and patients around one goal: better access to appropriate hearing care.
